Nonetheless, it appears some staff want to do business from home further. Not too long ago, lots of of workers have resigned when a company requested them to come back to the workplace.

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr workers have resigned from the kids online coding studying edtech start-up in the last two months after being asked to work from workplace.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, asked its employees to return to office within a month’s time, in keeping with an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company announced the coverage to end make money working from home and asked remote employees to return to office by April 18.

The resignations got here from full-time employees of the sales, coding, and math groups. Extra staff are expected to put down their papers within the coming months.

One of many workers who resigned advised the web site that a month’s time was not enough for relocation. “Some have kids, some have aged and sick mother and father, whereas others have other obligations. It is not right to call back employees in such a brief time frame,” the former WhiteHat Jr employee said.

Another employee said salaries also factored within the resolution to not return to the office. At the time of hiring, workers were informed about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has workplaces in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. However, after working from dwelling for two years, workers believed that their salaries should be revised to reflect the cost of residing in costly cities.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former worker remarked.
