EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the legal alcohol restrict after no less than five folks known as 911.
Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Main Road exit. They say the crash brought on a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, but the driver kept going.
Other callers say the driver was all around the road and now lacking a front tire.
They are saying he finally stopped at a car dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Staff informed police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell a number of instances. Officers say he tested .291 on a transportable breath check.
Police say inside his SUV, they found 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is dealing with several expenses.
He is the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
