Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to sell broken car with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the legal alcohol limit after at the least five folks called 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Foremost Avenue exit. They are saying the crash induced a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver stored going.

Other callers say the driver was all around the street and now missing a entrance tire.

They say he ultimately stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Employees advised police the driver, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several instances. Officers say he examined .291 on a portable breath check.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is going through a number of expenses.

He is the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
