Federal brokers entered Uvalde college to kill gunman despite native police initially asking them to wait

Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 children have been told by local police to wait and never enter the school — after which determined after about half an hour to ignore that preliminary steering and find the shooter, say two senior federal regulation enforcement officials.

According to the officers, brokers from BORTAC, the Customs and Border Protection tactical unit, and ICE's Homeland Safety Investigations (HSI) arrived on the scene between noon and 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Local law enforcement requested them to wait, and then instructed HSI brokers to assist pull youngsters out of the home windows.

The BORTAC workforce, armed with tactical gear, at first didn't move toward the gunman. After approximately half-hour passed, nonetheless, the federal agents opted of their own volition to lead the “stack” of officers inside the school and take down the shooter.
