Speaking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going ahead till I really feel higher about the path of our country."

In a blog submit, Kapler questioned whether or not the country's management is dedicated to representing its folks's best pursuits and whether the USA is actually "the land of the free and the home of the brave."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked mother and father trying to prepare to cost in to stop the shooter, including a father who discovered his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are more essential than our youngsters's freedom to go to school with no need bulletproof backpacks and energetic shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he referred to as "the lack of supply of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I might have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that whenever you're dissatisfied together with your nation, you let it's known via protest. The house of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion in opposition to gun violence in the USA.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Recreation 4 of the Warriors' collection towards the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.

"Within the last 10 days, we've had elderly Black people killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now now we have kids murdered at college," Kerr advised reporters in the beginning of the press conference.

"When are we going to do something? I am drained. I'm so tired of getting up right here and providing condolences to the devastated households which can be out there ... I'm tired of the moments of silence. Enough."
