LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC/Grey Information) - An incident that involved players from a college’s lacrosse workforce and deputies in Georgia remains underneath investigation.
WTOC stories Delaware State University President Tony Allen released a statement on Monday responding to the incident that reportedly occurred on April 20 in Liberty County.
Allen wrote Georgia regulation enforcement stopped a bus for a minor visitors violation with the Delaware State Lacrosse crew on board. Deputies searched the belongings of the student-athletes, including suitcases with drug-sniffing canine.
“100% you may’t be in that left lane in any respect,” stated a Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The crew was returning home from a recreation in Florida and touring by a contracted bus, in response to Allen.
Liberty County Sheriff William Bowman held a news convention concerning the incident but took no questions. He claimed that no personal items on the bus had been searched.

“We don't intend to let this or some other incident prefer it pass idly by. We are ready to go wherever the proof leads us. Now we have video. We have allies. Perhaps extra considerably, we have the courage of our convictions.”
Allen concluded his assertion by writing, “We will by no means be bullied into believing anything aside from what we are: Americans, learners, teachers, builders—useful and honorable folks able to soar.”
