Taliban chief orders girls to put on all-covering burqa in public: Decree

Afghanistan’s supreme leader and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the nation’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of the harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives for the reason that Taliban seized energy.

“They need to wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's traditional and respectful,” mentioned a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was launched by Taliban authorities at a function in Kabul.

“Those girls who are not too outdated or young should cowl their face, except the eyes, as per sharia directives, as a way to keep away from provocation when assembly males who aren't mahram (grownup close male relatives),” the decree stated.
