Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of agencies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with a number of different companies in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was discovered close to the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
