Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with a number of different agencies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old may very well be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the varsity or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
