Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several agencies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with several different companies in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
