Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of agencies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with a number of different companies in an attempt to find him.
The teen was found close to the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
