Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several companies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area along with a number of different businesses in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was discovered near the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be dealing with a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout because of the incident.
