The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Impartial School District police drive are now not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Safety's investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary College and the state's overview of the legislation enforcement response, a number of regulation enforcement sources tell ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent Faculty District did not immediately reply to requests for comment from ABC Information.

In line with sources, the choice to cease cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news convention Friday during which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the fallacious determination" and contrary to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Security mentioned, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police offered an initial interview however has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days ago."
