Russian spy airplane violates Swedish air area

A Russian reconnaissance airplane briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish protection officers said on Saturday, because the Scandinavian nation ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller airplane violated Swedish airspace on Friday night,” the Swedish defense ministry mentioned in a statement, including that its teams had followed the incident and photographed it.
The ministry mentioned the aircraft was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island in the Baltic, before it headed toward Swedish territory.
“It's totally unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public television SVT quoted Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This action is unprofessional and given the general security state of affairs very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty should always be respected.”
