Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - A number of companies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with several other companies in an attempt to find him.
The teenager was found near the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the school or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
