Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several agencies responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with several different agencies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was found near the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old may very well be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
