Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world together with several different agencies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was discovered near the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly positioned on lockout because of the incident.
