Nashville Public Library launches ‘Freedom to Learn’ campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a matter that's taken hold in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Walk Two Moons" have been pulled from cabinets.

While these books is likely to be banned from some colleges, there may be nonetheless somewhere else you could find them.

"Our job is just to ensure that if you would like it, it's right here for you," said Public Data Officer for the Nashville Public Library, Ed Brown.

"'Maus' is all checked out right now," said Brown. "So we acquired more copies on order but as quickly as phrase obtained around about what occurred in McMinn County, we got loads of holds."

Those are simply a few of the two million other materials on the Nashville Public Library.
