Taliban leader orders girls to wear all-covering burqa in public: Decree

Afghanistan’s supreme leader and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the nation’s ladies to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives because the Taliban seized energy.

“They need to wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's conventional and respectful,” stated a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was released by Taliban authorities at a function in Kabul.

“Those women who usually are not too previous or younger must cowl their face, besides the eyes, as per sharia directives, so as to keep away from provocation when assembly men who usually are not mahram (grownup shut male kinfolk),” the decree mentioned.

It added that if girls had no important work outside it was “better they keep at home.”

Throughout their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed similar restrictions on girls.
