Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comedian Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities mentioned.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the adult male victim known as authorities about a potential sexual assault, said Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle mentioned.

The sheriff’s department would not present more details about the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Lawyer’s Workplace had not obtained the case Wednesday and has not made a charging determination, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, where they met the sufferer and finally arrested Dick, Steinle said.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, based on jail records. It was not instantly clear whether or not he had an attorney who might converse on his behalf within the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor did not reply to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the next year with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not responsible, and the case is ready for trial, mentioned his legal professional in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz said he doesn't signify Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
