The household of an 11-year-old woman who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the shooting.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and she was simply crying, like 'I feel it just hit Miah. I believe the whole lot got here to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her pals and classmates were also focused.

Rivera stated that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah received some blood and put it on herself so she might pretend she was lifeless," said Rivera. "It's an excessive amount of for me to play that scene over and over again, but that's what my sister-in-law stated is that she saw her pal filled with blood and she or he bought blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother stated she had bullet fragments in her back," mentioned Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, said the family is rallying round Miah to help her get better physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this level, we simply have to wish and ask God to help us transfer ahead by way of this example, I know it is traumatizing as it is," stated Rivera.
