"You see news every day about youngsters getting shot and other people your age dying and it's just extremely sad and unbelievable, especially to see like kids younger and youngsters my age," Janoff instructed ABC Information. "I cant imagine that being me; however it's possible because it occurs so typically."
The 17 year-old says her school's administration was in assist of the walkout and she hopes the over 200 planned demonstrations throughout the country send a transparent message that college students are a "united entrance."
A walkout may not essentially change legislation, Janoff stated, however these actions show "college students are still united on this."
She said that although most students aren't old enough to vote, they nonetheless want to see change and are keen to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
