SACRAMENTO, Calif. >> A suspect on the run since a mass shooting left six folks dead throughout an alleged gang dispute in California’s capital metropolis final month has been arrested in Las Vegas, authorities said.

Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of the alleged gang members who opened hearth in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an house complex, the Sacramento Police Department stated in a press release Saturday night.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Department labored with our detectives for weeks in an effort to locate Payton,” the assertion said.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, had been charged this month with murder within the slayings, as well as weapons offenses.
