Uvalde police, college district not cooperating with Texas probe of taking pictures: Sources

The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Impartial Faculty District police pressure are no longer cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College and the state's assessment of the law enforcement response, multiple legislation enforcement sources tell ABC News.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent College District didn't instantly reply to requests for comment from ABC Information.

In keeping with sources, the choice to cease cooperating occurred quickly after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a information convention Friday throughout which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the unsuitable resolution" and opposite to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Security mentioned, "The Uvalde Police Department and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police offered an preliminary interview but has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days ago."

Last Tuesday's assault, one of many worst school shootings in U.S. history, left 19 kids and two adults dead.
