DALLAS - The excessive court will allow a wrongful death lawsuit to proceed against town of Dallas and four cops.

The household of a person who died in police custody in 2016 sued.

Tony Timpa called police for assist as he had a drug and psychological health disaster.

The city of Dallas argued the officers are legally shielded from lawsuits.

The Supreme Court upheld a federal appeals court docket’s ruling that will allow the case to proceed.
