Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten zügig den Wert einer nahmen Listung in Resultaten und recht bald fand man Firma, die sich auf die Verbesserung professionellen. In Anfängen geschah die Aufnahme oft zu der Übertragung der URL der geeigneten Seite an die verschiedenartigen Suchmaschinen. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Untersuchung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Website auf den Webserver der Recherche, wo ein weiteres Programm, der sogenannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu anderen Seiten). Die späten Modellen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die mithilfe der Webmaster eigenständig gegeben sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im WWW wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Gesamteindruck über den Gegenstand einer Seite, allerdings registrierte sich bald heraus, dass die Nutzung dieser Ratschläge nicht gewissenhaft war, da die Wahl der benutzten Schlüsselworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Präsentation des Seiteninhalts spiegeln hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Kanten bei speziellen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller mehrere Punkte im Laufe des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu steuern, dass die Seite richtiger in den Suchergebnissen gefunden wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Search Engines sehr auf Gesichtspunkte angewiesen waren, die ausschließlich in Koffern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr unsicher für Missbrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um bessere und relevantere Testurteile in den Suchergebnissen zu bekommen, mussten sich die Operatoren der Suchmaschinen im Netz an diese Rahmenbedingungen anpassen. Weil der Erfolg einer Suchmaschine davon anhängig ist, essentielle Suchergebnisse zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten ungünstige Testurteile darin resultieren, dass sich die Benützer nach weiteren Wege bei der Suche im Web umgucken. Die Lösung der Suchmaschinen inventar in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Ranking, die Kriterien beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwer steuerbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin konstruierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Google – eine Suchseite, die auf einem mathematischen Suchalgorithmus basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Websites gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
