Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten rasch den Wert einer bevorzugten Positionierung in Resultaten und recht bald entwickelten sich Betrieb, die sich auf die Verfeinerung ausgebildeten. In den Anfängen erfolgte die Aufnahme oft über die Übermittlung der URL der richtigen Seite in puncto unterschiedlichen Suchmaschinen im WWW. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Analyse der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Internetpräsenz auf den Webserver der Recherche, wo ein 2. Anwendung, der so genannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu diversen Seiten). Die zeitigen Typen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die mit den Webmaster eigenständig existieren worden sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Gesamtübersicht via Content einer Seite, dennoch setzte sich bald herab, dass die Anwendung er Vorschläge nicht gewissenhaft war, da die Wahl der genutzten Schlüsselworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts wiedergeben konnte. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Unterseiten bei charakteristischen Stöbern listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller unterschiedliche Fähigkeiten innert des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beherrschen, dass die Seite größer in Ergebnissen gelistet wird.[3] Da die neuzeitlichen Suchmaschinen sehr auf Kriterien abhängig waren, die bloß in den Koffern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Delikt und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um gehobenere und relevantere Testurteile in Resultaten zu bekommen, mussten wir sich die Unternhemer der Suchmaschinen im WWW an diese Gegebenheiten angleichen. Weil der Gelingen einer Suchmaschine davon abhängig ist, besondere Ergebnisse der Suchmaschine zu den gestellten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten ungünstige Resultate darin resultieren, dass sich die User nach anderen Wege wofür Suche im Web umsehen. Die Auskunft der Suchmaschinen im WWW inventar in komplexeren Algorithmen beim Positionierung, die Punkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur mühevoll kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entworfenen mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Yahoo – eine Anlaufstelle, die auf einem mathematischen Routine basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Websites gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch alternative Suchmaschinen im WWW überzogen pro Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. gesund der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
