- Mehr zu SEO Mitte der 1990er Jahre fingen die aller ersten Suchmaschinen im Netz an, das frühe Web zu systematisieren. Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten zügig den Wert einer nahmen Listung in Suchergebnissen und recht bald fand man Betrieb, die sich auf die Verbesserung ausgebildeten. In den Anfängen erfolgte der Antritt oft über die Übertragung der URL der passenden Seite in puncto divergenten Search Engines. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Analyse der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webseite auf den Web Server der Suchseite, wo ein zweites Anwendung, der die bekannten Indexer, Angaben herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu sonstigen Seiten). Die späten Varianten der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die dank der Webmaster selber vorliegen sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Eindruck per Inhalt einer Seite, doch registrierte sich bald raus, dass die Benutzung der Tipps nicht zuverlässig war, da die Wahl der genutzten Schlagworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Beschreibung des Seiteninhalts sonstige Verben konnte. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Unterseiten bei einzigartigen Brauchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller vielfältige Punkte innerhalb des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu steuern, dass die Seite passender in Suchergebnissen gefunden wird.[3] Da die neuzeitlichen Suchmaschinen im WWW sehr auf Faktoren dependent waren, die allein in den Fingern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr anfällig für Delikt und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um gehobenere und relevantere Resultate in Serps zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Inhaber der Search Engines an diese Gegebenheiten adaptieren. Weil der Erfolg einer Suchseite davon abhängig ist, wichtige Suchresultate zu den gestellten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten unpassende Resultate zur Folge haben, dass sich die Anwender nach diversen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten bei der Suche im Web umsehen. Die Auflösung der Suchmaschinen im WWW vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Ranking, die Kriterien beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwierig kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entwickelten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Yahoo search – eine Suchseiten, die auf einem mathematischen Matching-Verfahren basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Seiten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch andere Suchmaschinen im Internet bezogen in der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. gesund der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo search
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
